Beneficiaries: communities, former pastoralists (nomads), landless poor, refugees, schools (children, teachers and families), villagers and women's groups. Helping people affected by  disease, drought, floods, heat wave, malnutrition, poverty, starvation, thirst, undernourishment, war and unsafe water (contaminated with arsenic).
Funding seeds, tools, fruit trees, community land, seed/food storage and food processing equipment will improve the health, nutritional status, livelihoods and income generation potential of the beneficiaries.
Water resources – irrigation, collection/storage facilities and an arsenic removal water filter plant will provide supplies of safe, clean water for households' use and to irrigate the thousands of acres of crops that shall be grown as a result of the Vegfam funding.
Training and skills sharing are also important parts of these vital life saving projects”.
